There's one person you will probably mistreat more than anybody else. You won't support them, you won't be forgiving, you'll call them all sorts of names... And there's one person you're going to spend the rest of your life with. Actually they are the same person. They are both you. Who teaches us to be such big critics of ourselves? Where do we learn that we're less worthy than others of care, patience and respect. And can we break this cycle? This time, we talk about self acceptance. We'll be sharing stories of our own experiences, and what impact that has had on the way we are living today.
About How To Be Human events:
Don't be put off by the simplicity of the title. By now you've probably been alive long enough to realise that being a human is anything but easy. From the crazy myriad of emotions we feel on a daily basis to the huge pressure and expectations that guide our entire lives; being a human is complicated.
How To Be Human is a discussion that dives deeply into different aspects of our funny little human existences. This isn't a workshop or a lecture, but a chance to share your own experience of being a human, and to hear about the way other people are experiencing their lives.
We'll be talking everything from death, to love, to embarrassment, to guilt, and anxiety.
